Creche
Our commitment at Appian Way Schools is to take a child-friendly approach in providing young children with the finest surroundings for their first school experience. Our dedicated team in the Creche classes aim to provide the highest quality care and education for all our children, giving them a strong foundation for their future learning. In a safe and happy environment, we create motivating and enjoyable learning experiences that enable children to become confident and independent.
Our creche service is divided into Reception One which runs from 3 months to 18 months and Reception Two which is from 18 months to 3 years; and is mainly focused on language acquisition skills and familiarization with the immediate environment. Children are exposed to the following during the day’s activities to help build their vocabulary and prepare them for the nursery session
Reception 1 (3 - 18 months)
Under Reception 1, children are exposed to the following:
- Stories
- Songs
- Dance
- Speaking
- Sports
- Music and movement
- Watching a video
- Practical life exercises
- Reading
Reception 2 (18 months to 3 years)
These are vibrant children who are ready to explore and learn more about their environment through their five senses. We help them do this by adopting the Montessori Infant-toddler curriculum, which has been proven to be the best for this age group. This includes:
